I still get so excited when couples from all over the world reach out asking me to photograph important moments of their lives.
Whether it’s a wedding or an engagement session, I’m always thrilled to be part of such a special occasion!
This UK influencer couple, Mikey Davi and Ava Black, reached out about having both their engagement session and their wedding photographed by me!
So we planned and took spectacular Lake Como engagement photos that captured their personalities (and epic taste in fashion)! Keep reading to see how it turned out:

So many couples want to have photos taken in Lake Como and have a soft, romantic aesthetic. Or maybe they describe their style as classic and timeless. I’ve also had couples who give off a modern and glamorous vibe!
No matter what a couple’s vibe is, I always find ways to incorporate it into their session.
For these Lake Como engagement photos, I had the opportunity to capture Mikey and Ava’s edgy, high fashion-inspired style. And as a fashion photographer turned destination wedding photographer, this was a dream come true!
It was such a breath of fresh air to explore the cities of Lake Como in a new light – with Mikey and Ava’s edgy, captivating aesthetic.
Having the charming cobblestone streets and historic architecture serve as the backdrop to their worthy-of-the-runway looks created the most epic Lake Como engagement photos!
Touring the Cities of Lake Como for Engagement Photos:
Our first stop for this couple’s session was within one of the cities along Lake Como. No matter what your style is, the cobblestone streets, the historic architecture, and the Old World aesthetic can highlight any style or aesthetic.
And, of course, it did exactly that for Mikey and Ava!
We explored the town, stopping to grab photos whenever we could.
The Notable Fashion: Ava’s First Outfit
For the first session, Ava opted for a white babydoll dress that paired so well with both the city in Lake Como and Mikey’s outfit choice.
I also thought it was such a great contrast with her personal, edgy style! And of course, it showed up perfectly in her photos.

Mikey went with a black pantsuit complete with platform black shoes. And maybe one of the coolest parts of getting to photograph the two of them? Getting photos of their tattoos!
Mikey chose not to add a shirt underneath his suit jacket. Instead, we got to highlight his tattoo collection – and it made their photos so perfectly them!
Walking Along the Waterfront for Lake Como Engagement Photos:
After exploring the city, we chose one of the quintessential locations as a backdrop for their Lake Como engagement photos – the water!
We made our way down to the waterfront for more epic and edgy photos.
The Notable Fashion: Ava’s Second Outfit
While Mikey chose to stay in his first outfit, Ava opted to change her outfit for the rest of our session.
For her second outfit, she opted for a matching black pantsuit. And let me tell you – it was so chic. Just like Mikey, she chose not to wear a shirt underneath her jacket, which fit her edgy and high fashion-inspired style.
And of course, it helped create photography gold.
Photographing Mikey and Ava’s Lake Como engagement session was such a fantastic experience. And now that I know them more, I can’t wait until I get them in front of my camera again for their wedding.
