Mallorca Wedding Inspired by the Destination
There is nothing like a wedding that accepts and embraces the destination without adding any additional flare. To me, the destination often has enough of its own natural flare!
So I loved getting to be a part of this Mallorca wedding. Because Mallorca was their inspiration. No theme necessary, just the natural beauty the Spanish island had to offer!

The Wedding Inspiration and Experience
Like I mentioned before, Mallorca was the couple’s inspiration for their wedding celebration. So they let the destination set the mood and tone of the event.
And along with giving Mallorca the attention it deserved, they really wanted their wedding to be an experience where they weren’t starved for time or cramming it into a matter of mere hours.
So to make sure that happened, they invited everyone out to Mallorca for the entire week! The celebration extended over multiple days, and they got to enjoy the pleasure of everyone’s company that much longer.
Finca Son Mir: A Traditional Mallorca Wedding Venue to Set the Stage
On the day of the wedding itself, the bride and groom opted for a traditional-looking Mallorca wedding venue. It was a stone castle on the island complete with views of the ocean in the background. And it couldn’t have been a more beautiful setting for their event!
The First Look Reminiscent of a Fairytale
On the property of the wedding venue, the beautiful bride and groom had their first look. And between the ivy-covered stone walls and the historic staircases, it looked like it had come straight from a fairytale!
A Subtle, Delicate Bridal Gown to Complement the Setting
This beautiful bride even selected a beautiful, albeit subtly delicate bridal gown to complement the Mallorca wedding backdrop. Rather than have a full-skirted ball gown, she chose a simple, cap sleeve, lace wedding dress from Daughters of Simone.
And it truly couldn’t have been a better fit for this event! It didn’t try to compete or outshine the destination. Instead, it perfectly complemented the soft fairytale vibe of the wedding venue.
A Sunset Outdoor Mallorca Wedding Ceremony
After their first look, we all made our way to their outdoor Mallorca wedding ceremony. With a curtained arch filled with a lovely floral garland, the details of the ceremony were simple and subtle. And in their photos, with the natural pomegranate groves framing the ceremony spot, it was crystal clear that they had worked hard to still make sure Mallorca, Spain was the highlight of the destination wedding!
Followed by a Garden Party Wedding Reception
The wedding venue they chose was the perfect location considering everything they needed was right on the property. They didn’t have to travel between their getting ready location, the ceremony venue, and the reception location. It was all in one place!
Their garden party, much like every other part of their wedding, was subtly elegant. Nothing about it was over-the-top opulent. But everything still had the look and feel of luxury! It was the perfect blend that their wedding planner expertly put together.
With a Quick Getaway to the Pomegranate Groves for the Couple’s Portraits
It’s still one of my favorite parts of any wedding day timeline! So while all of the guests were getting settled into their chairs at the reception, the bride and groom and I slipped away for just a little while for their sunset couple’s portraits.
We found a pomegranate grove at the Mallorca wedding venue that couldn’t have been a better, natural photograph frame.
The wild greenery framed the bride and groom while the pops of coral pink added some beautiful color (as well as some natural reminders of the location!) to their portraits. And who could forget that softly glowing sunset!
It is always such a dream to fly off and photograph brides and grooms all over the world! And even today, if I close my eyes, I can still feel the warm breeze of Mallorca Island and this couple’s love under the pomegranate trees and among the wild nature that surrounded such a magical day!
