Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature’s peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop away from you like the leaves of Autumn.
John Muir
We made our way together to the majestic Yosemite National Park and it was mid-November. That meant we were going to have some cold weather and the day before, the mountain roads were closed the winter weather! No driving the Glacier Point Road but thank goodness Yosemite has so many other epic spots and trails to explore. We trekked to Mirror Lake where the mountains reflected in the still lake and stopped near the pass to see Tunnel View. Half dome and the huge granite behemoths are so grand that it’s hard to even see the full view as you’re driving and approaching the valley. And the light is truly golden and pink as it sets. The only rival for the greatness of these mountains are the Dolomites in Italy…
